Creating a Kids First environment means giving up some common classroom design practices. On pages 48- 49, we offer some suggestions of things (teacher desks, bean tables, laminated charts) and practices (themed bulletin boards, cute fonts) that you may have to let go of to make your classroom even more centered around the children.
